1:72 F-16A Fighting Falcon is a simple kit of the American light fighter aircraft in its early A version, suitable for beginners too.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the American light fighter aircraft F-16A in 1:72 scale. The set belongs to the manufacturer's simplified range, the parts are generously broken down and the total comes to around fifty, so the build is quick and straightforward. The finished model measures roughly 20 cm and has a span of about 13.5 cm. The early version with the smaller air intake is the one modeled.
The F-16 was created in the 1970s as a light, low-cost counterweight to the big and expensive fighters. It was given a single jet engine, a bubble canopy with a view in every direction, a reclined seat and fly-by-wire controls, that is, an electrical system that continuously stabilizes the aircraft. The A version was the first production single-seat variant and you can recognize it by the smaller air intake and the shorter dorsal spine. The aircraft became one of the most widespread fighter types of all.
With generously broken down parts it pays to check the mating surfaces and sand them if needed, as the joint will then need less filler. Finish the cockpit before you close up the fuselage, and mask the canopy with precut masks or with narrow tape. The gray American scheme stands out when you lay the shades in slightly different tones panel by panel and then even the whole out with a thin coat of the base shade.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
