1:72 German helmet M16 (detail) is a set of resin 3D-printed German helmets of the First World War for figures and dioramas in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
An add-on set of finely 3D-printed resin German M16 pattern Stahlhelm helmets at the small 1:72 scale. It is not a model of equipment but an item of gear for figures and dioramas. The detail version holds the characteristic shape even at a tiny size.
The German M16 pattern Stahlhelm steel helmet was brought in in 1916 and replaced the earlier leather Pickelhaube. You can recognize it by its markedly drawn-in rim and the side lugs, which were originally used to mount a brow plate. The German army wore it in the First World War and, in revised forms, in the interwar period as well.
Before separating the parts from the tabs and before sanding, dip them in hot water so that the resin softens and does not chip; it hardens again once cooled. Wash the castings, cut the casting blocks away with a sharp tool, bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and sand with respiratory protection. At the small 1:72 scale, work with tweezers and good light. Paint them with ordinary modeling paints.
The set contains resin helmet castings only. Figures, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
