Decals for South African fighter and attack aircraft from the postwar years to the present day, eleven schemes in 1:72 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The second part of the collection follows the equipment of the South African Air Force at the moment when piston machines were giving way to jets, and carries it right through to today's generation. Side by side here stand a Spitfire of the late forties, a Canadian Sabre, the French Mirage F1AZ, a two-seat Cheetah, the Hawk trainer and the modern Gripen.
Among the more interesting items are a machine marked as the Cheetah Eater, a Vampire from the advanced flying school and a Spitfire in the HF version, which was still flying in civilian hands around Lanseria in the eighties. The bases Waterkloof, Hoedspruit and Makhado come back again and again, addresses that South African fighter squadrons still use today.
The base must be glossy and perfectly free of dust, otherwise matte edges will appear under the carrier film. Soak the decal briefly, let it rest on a paper towel and only then slide it into place. A softener will help settle large insignia over rivets and panel lines. The set is intended as an accessory, so obtain the aircraft itself separately. The carrier film of the sheet is thin and almost invisible once dry.
