This set from the aircraft aftermarket maker Aires/Quickboost is a resin replacement for the cannon barrels of a model of the Sukhoi Su-7 in 1:72 scale. It is not an airplane kit but a small detail accessory that replaces the plastic parts from the base kit with finely cast barrels with a hollow bore indicated. Faithful barrels markedly improve the look of the armament on a model.
The Sukhoi Su-7 was a Soviet single-seat supersonic combat aircraft of the Cold War period, used above all for ground attack. On armed machines the barrels of the built-in cannons are among the clearly visible details.
First wash the resin parts to remove any mold release residue, cut off the casting blocks carefully and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). We recommend painting the barrels in steel shades and darkening the bore; the area around them can be lightly dirtied with scorch marks.
This is an accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
