Quinta Studio 1:72 Tempest Mk.V is a set for finishing the cockpit of a British fighter in 1:72 scale. The contents relate to the pilot's space and assume that you already have the base model obtained separately. The set is cut to the Airfix kit of the Tempest Mk.V.
The Hawker Tempest Mk.V came about by improving the Typhoon and was given a new wing with a thinner section, thanks to which it kept its performance in the high-speed range as well. In the second half of the war it was among the fastest British fighters at low altitude and it became famous for its successes against the V-1 missiles. Its recognition features are the large vertical tail surface and the radiator housed in the leading edge of the wing.
The cockpit of a fighter is cramped, so it pays to try the placement in small steps and rather more than once. True the edges of the parts so that they follow on from each other without a step. Before you close the cockpit up, make sure that neither the seat nor the side walls stops the canopy seating properly. If you want to light the interior through, try beforehand how the small areas look against the light and darken the surface underneath with a deeper shade as needed. It also proves worthwhile to break the work off and let each step dry thoroughly before you start the next.
