A resin accessory for a model of the A-1 Skyraider in 1:72 scale represents an unusual carried store under the wing. It is not an airplane model but a small accessory to a kit you have already bought.

This is a small resin accessory from the Czech maker Brengun, intended for a model of the Douglas A-1 Skyraider carrier attack aircraft in 1:72 scale. Modelers know it as an unusual improvised store that appeared on these aircraft and that is used today on models as a striking identifying feature of one particular scene. The aircraft model itself is not included in the package.
The accessory is hung under the wing on a pylon, just like an ordinary store. On a finished model it works as a detail that catches the eye at once and sets the model apart from the dozens of otherwise identical Skyraiders in a display case. The dimensions, the exact number of pieces in the package and the method of attachment are not stated here; check them on the packaging of the set.
Resin castings are always washed in lukewarm water with a drop of dish soap before gluing, so that the mold release agent leaves the surface. Without that neither paint nor glue will hold. The casting block is not nipped off but cut with a saw or a cutting disc, and the remainder is sanded. Sanding resin creates a fine dust, so sand wet and protect your breathing. It is bonded exclusively with super glue, as cement for plastic does not work on resin. Before painting it pays to spray a primer, which also reveals small bubbles and unevenness.
The accessory is supplied unpainted and it is not a model kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
