About product

UH-1F Huey, Dutch naval aviation (1963), 1:72, Easy Model

A finished collector model of a multirole helicopter of the Huey line in 1:72 scale from the maker Easy Model, in the markings of Dutch naval aviation with the fuselage number 228. The model is assembled and painted from the factory, markings included. It is not a kit; nothing is glued or sprayed.

The real subject

Helicopters of the Huey line are among the most widespread turbine helicopters of all. They are typified by the combination of a single turboshaft engine above the cabin, a two-blade main rotor and a roomy cabin with sliding doors, thanks to which the machine handles the carriage of people and cargo and training duties alike. The version designated F differed from the basic transport versions in the type of engine used and in the shape of the engine installation that went with it. Helicopters of this family also reached European operators in the 1960s, who committed them to training, liaison and rescue flights.

A helicopter in a display case

A helicopter model has a different silhouette from an aircraft and will therefore complement a row of aircraft well in a display case. The most sensitive parts are the blades of the main and tail rotors, which are thin and bend if handled carelessly. Take the model by the fuselage, therefore, and put it somewhere where you will not catch the blades while pulling other pieces out. Dust settles on helicopters mainly on the upper surfaces of the blades and on the cabin glazing, so dust them regularly with a soft brush and without pressure.

Who the model is for

  • Collectors of helicopters in 1:72 scale
  • Anyone interested in European operators of machines of the Huey line
  • Customers who want a finished model with no building
  • A gift for a lover of aviation and naval engineering

The model is supplied finished, assembled and painted. No glue or paints are needed. Protect it from dust, from pressure on the rotor blades and from direct sun.

FAQ

Yes, it is supplied finished, assembled and painted, with the markings applied. Nothing is glued or painted.

How freely the rotor moves varies from example to example on finished models and the maker does not guarantee it. Treat the blades as a fixed part of the model, therefore.

Hold it by the fuselage, never by the rotor blades, and put it somewhere where you will not catch the rotor while handling other models.

The scale is the same, so the size relationships in a display case will match reality.
