Injection-molded plastic kit of the historic American car Ford Model T in the open roadster form of 1912, in 1:24 scale from ICM. The kit offers a finely rendered engine, axles and other mechanical parts, a well worked-out frame and interior, and clear parts. Tires in a light shade, as they were supplied at the time, and a set of waterslide decals are usually included.
The Ford Model T, nicknamed the Tin Lizzie, was an American car built by Ford from 1908 to 1927. As the first car built in large numbers on a moving assembly line, it came within reach of broad sections of society and quite literally put America on wheels. The open roadster was one of the lighter and more sportingly tuned bodies of the line, with room for two, as against the roomier four-seat touring form.
Cut the parts off with a sharp knife and glue them with liquid cement for plastic. Finish and paint the frame, the engine and the axles before the final assembly. We recommend a primer and an airbrush; historic Model Ts were supplied mostly in black paint, which sets off the flat black fenders and the gloss areas alike. Suggest the wooden and upholstered items with matching shades, pick out the metal and brass detail and underline the gaps with a fine wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
