A dark gray modeling shade from Mr.Paint under the number 289, mixed to the camouflage scheme of the MiG-29SMT fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
The dark gray from the Mr.Paint line comes from the camouflage of the MiG-29SMT, where it forms the darkest field of the multicolor scheme. Its use is not tied to a single type of machine, though. A cool dark gray suits everywhere the gray is to look austere and without a blue cast, which means other fighters of eastern design, weapons and drop tanks, or the darker tone when shading large areas.
The MiG-29SMT is the modernized version of the twin-engined MiG-29 fighter with extended capability against ground targets. You recognize it at first glance by the enlarged fuselage spine. Machines in this version wear a multicolor scheme in which the gray tones meet the green ones, so when building the model allow for several shades side by side and for the transitions between them.
Stir the bottle thoroughly before use; the pigment settles at the bottom and unstirred paint shifts the shade. Choose the thinner and the thinning ratio as stated by the manufacturer on the packaging; the line has its own dedicated thinner. Apply several thin coats instead of one heavy one, so that the engraved panel lines stay visible, and let the finished coat cure properly before any varnish or decal goes on it. Work in a ventilated space and try the shade out first on a piece of scrap plastic, so that nothing surprises you on the finished model.
The model, thinner, brushes and masking materials are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
