Three finished model trees from the German maker HEKI, thirteen centimeters tall. A birch is recognized by its pale trunk and drooping branch tips, and at thirteen centimeters it represents a tree that has grown up but is not yet the tallest in the growth. Three pieces are ideal for this species, because birches grow in groups in nature and a solitary birch is rather the exception.

How to work with the trees

The trees are pushed into a pre-drilled hole or glued by the foot of the trunk. Set the three close together and in an irregular triangle, not in a row. Spread the flattened branches carefully with your fingers after unpacking and let the tips point slightly downward. Add low growth and a few small bushes under the trees, because a birch grows over precisely the ground nobody tends.

Who the set is for

For layout and diorama builders who need a pale group of trees, and for modelers fine-tuning forest edges. The three can be supplemented with taller and shorter birches of the same brand, and the growth then looks as though it is regenerating gradually. This is modeling material, not a toy. The manufacturer marks its scenery products as unsuitable for children under fifteen.
