A self-adhesive strip of roadway with cobblestones from the Heki company, measuring 100 x 8 cm. It is laid without glue straight onto a prepared surface.
Responsibility details are not available.
Cobbled paving is a rewarding surface for a modeler and at the same time the most laborious one. Scribing the joints by hand or laying the individual stones takes hours, and it takes little for the pattern to drift to one side. A ready-made strip gets round that work: the paving is finished on it in a regular pattern and all that is left for you is to lay it and fine-tune the color.
The strip measures 100 x 8 cm. A meter of continuous length will cover the run across a whole square or a long street between houses, and the eight-centimeter width will do for a roadway including a strip by the curb. It suits the historic center of a town, a courtyard, the area by a station building and the approach to a factory, where asphalt does not fit the scene.
Level the surface, dry it and remove the dust. First lay the strip in dry, check the direction of the pattern and only then uncover the adhesive layer step by step and press down from the middle out to the edges, so that no air stays under the surface. You adjust the shape with a sharp knife against a ruler. Paving only comes alive after toning: a thin dark deposit runs into the joints and brings them out, while a dry brush draws out the tops of the stones. The worn trace in the middle tends to be smoother and paler than the edges.
It suits builders of town scenes who want paving quickly and in a regular pattern, and modelers who have tried scribing joints by hand once and do not want to take it on a second time.
The package holds the strip with paving. A surface, the paints, curbstones and the other accessories of scenery are not part of it, unless stated otherwise.
