What it is

A Heki scenery accessory: a stone wall with a raised relief of masonry, intended for sizes 0 and 1. The package holds two parts, each measuring 50 x 25 cm, so together you get a meter of wall at a height of 25 cm. Sizes 0 and 1 are among the largest ones commonly built, and the coarser pattern of the stones, which stands up to a close look, matches that.

Field of use

A stone wall is the most rewarding way of evening out a difference of height in a scene. It will serve as a retaining wall under a slope, as the base course of a building, as the bank of a stretch of water, as the boundary wall of a yard or as the face of a ramp. A meter of length will do even for a longer stretch along a road. In the large sizes a wall is moreover an area the viewer notices first, so it pays to give its painting some time.

How to work with the accessory

• First lay the scene out dry and only then shorten the parts to measure.
• Make the cut along the joints between the stones, because a stone cut through in the middle of an area will stay visible.
• Level the base and free it of dust, otherwise the wall will stand off at the edges.
• Glue with an adhesive suitable both for the material of the part and for the base on which you are building the scene.
• Hide the joint between the two parts behind a post or a bush, or fill and retouch it.
• You will even the look out with a dark glaze in the joints and a dry brush along the edges of the stones.

Two parts of the wall are supplied. The paints, the glue, the putty and other scenery accessories are not part of the package, unless stated otherwise.
