The Aber 1:32 set of 4 turned barrel tips for the German 13 mm MG 131 aircraft machine gun is a metal detail accessory with which you replace the plastic barrel tips on a model and gain a more accurate end to the weapon.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a metal detail accessory from the Polish firm Aber, not an aircraft model. In the set you will find four turned brass tips (end sections) of the barrels of the German 13 mm MG 131 aircraft machine gun in 1:32 scale. The tips are fitted onto shortened plastic barrels and give the weapon a crisply drilled end that plastic cannot reach.
The MG 131 was the standard German aircraft machine gun of the Second World War. Fighters and bombers alike were fitted with it, for example the Messerschmitt Bf 109, the Focke-Wulf Fw 190 and the heavy machines of the He 177 family. A faithful rendering of the barrel tip therefore suits a whole range of German aircraft from the later phase of the war.
Cut off the original plastic end of the barrel, drill a hole of the matching diameter in the remaining part and glue the metal tip in with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The metal parts can also be soldered to each other. Once glued in, degrease and paint them just like the surrounding plastic; metal holds paint better over a base coat of primer.
This is an add-on accessory for a plastic model. The model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
