King Tiger Sd.Kfz.182 (Porsche turret) 1:35 (Hobby Boss) - an injection-molded plastic kit of the German heavy tank with Zimmerit.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the German Tiger II (King Tiger) Sd.Kfz.182 heavy tank with the early Porsche turret, in 1:35 scale from Hobby Boss. According to the manufacturer the box carries molded-on Zimmerit (anti-magnetic coating), photo-etched parts and individual track links. The model builds the early version with its characteristic rounded turret front.
The Tiger II, nicknamed King Tiger, was a German heavy tank of the closing stage of the Second World War with very thick frontal armor and a long-barreled 88 mm gun that destroyed Allied tanks at long range. The early production run carried the so-called Porsche turret with a rounded front plate, later replaced by the more angular Henschel turret. The machine was powerful, but heavy, thirsty and prone to breakdowns.
Assemble the running gear and the individual track links first, let them harden properly, and then the lower hull; only then close up the superstructure. Paint the molded-on Zimmerit carefully so that its grooves are not lost. Glue the plastic with thin cement. Apply primer, spray Dunkelgelb with an airbrush and add the camouflage. Bring the Zimmerit and the running gear to life with dark washes and dust pigments, and add mud effects to the underside.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
