An add-on set of radio equipment for the compartment of the German Sd.Kfz. 251/1 half-track in 1:35 scale, with the Fu.Spr.Ger. f radio set.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Sd.Kfz. 251 is a German half-track armored personnel carrier of the Second World War, with wheels on the front axle and track running gear at the rear. The 251/1 version is the basic transport form for an infantry squad, with an open compartment and sloped side armor. It is that open compartment which makes the interior the most conspicuous part of the model: the equipment along the sides is visible from above without lifting any part off.
The set brings radio equipment for the interior of the Sd.Kfz. 251/1 in 1:35 scale, specifically the sets designated Fu.Spr.Ger. f. It therefore fills an area that kits usually treat in a simplified way or leave empty altogether. The parts are not polystyrene, so ordinary modeling cement has no effect on them.
Cut the surplus material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the rest down. Wash and degrease the parts before painting. They are bonded with super glue in small drops. It pays to paint the assembly before gluing it into the compartment, because a brush cannot reach the boxes easily once the interior is finished. A darker base, a dry brush on the edges and a fine wash will bring out the controls. The manufacturer's instructions state the exact way to prepare the parts.
The set suits modelers building the carrier with an open compartment or a diorama with a command or signals vehicle, and who want the interior occupied rather than empty. The package contains the radio equipment parts only; the model, figures, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
