An accessory set of parts in 1:35 scale rendering the smoke emitters of British tanks of the Second World War. Intended to complete a plastic kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
Smoke emitters are among the small features that decide the credibility of a tank model's silhouette. In a kit they tend to be simplified, with thick walls and blanked-off mouths, because ordinary molding technology cannot make them finer. This set replaces them with separate parts that have thinner walls and a cleaner shape.
The set contains smoke emitters for British tanks of the Second World War in 1:35 scale. The placement and the number of emitters differ between types, so check against references for your own subject exactly where they belong and in what form. The parts are not polystyrene, so they are not bonded with ordinary modeling cement for plastic but with cyanoacrylate.
Cut surplus material away with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the remainder off carefully, so that the part does not lose its shape. Level the area where the emitter goes beforehand and remove the original molded detail. Wash and degrease the parts before painting, otherwise the paint will not hold. Apply the base coat in a thin layer so that the edges and fine rims are not lost. The exact preparation procedure is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The set suits modelers building British armor who want to replace the coarser parts from a kit. The kit, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
