Reskit 1:48 exhaust nozzle for the Vought F-8E Crusader is a resin detail accessory for models of this carrier fighter. It replaces the plastic nozzle of the J57 engine with a more faithful part.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a resin detail set, not an airplane kit. It contains a precisely shaped exhaust nozzle for models of the American Vought F-8 Crusader carrier fighter in the F-8E version. The casting has a fine inner structure and faithful outer shapes that injection-molded plastic usually lacks. It is intended for 1:48 scale.
The Vought F-8 Crusader was a supersonic carrier fighter of the US Navy and Marine Corps, marked by a variable-incidence wing. It was powered by a Pratt & Whitney J57 turbojet with an afterburner. The F-8E version was multirole, able to carry guided missiles and bombs; the type made its name in the fighting over Vietnam.
Wash the mold release agent off the part in lukewarm soapy water. Cut the casting block off with a saw and sand the cut with respiratory protection. Bond with super glue. Paint the nozzle separately in metallic and burnt shades and bring out the hot areas with dark pigments for a realistic look.
The set is an accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
