The flexible Masking Tape For Curves 1.5 mm x 18 m from Hobby 2000 can be laid around a curve without creasing on the bend.
Responsibility details are not available.
A blue tape 1.5 millimeters wide and 18 meters long whose carrier can be stretched as it is laid. Thanks to that it follows curved edges, wavy lines and circular outlines and does not crease where it changes direction, the way ordinary straight tape does. It is sold as a single roll in a resealable bag with a card label.
First lay the curve itself with this tape and only then cover the remaining area with a wider band or masking paper. Draw it smoothly and without jerky movements; the more you stretch it as you lay it, the tighter the radius it will take, but the harder it also tries to spring back, so press it down firmly along its whole length at the end. Apply the paint in several light coats.
It suits modelers who spray curved camouflage transitions on aircraft, circular insignia or two-tone bodies. Straight sections are handled perfectly well by ordinary straight tape, so the two variants complement each other rather than compete; the ideal is to have both widths to hand and reach for the one the shape of the part calls for.
Store the roll flat, in a dry place and away from heat, otherwise the carrier loses its stretch. The package contains neither paints nor thinners.
