The resin set from the Czech manufacturer CMK renders in detail the forward luggage and instrument compartment in the nose of the Bell UH-1D Huey helicopter in 1:35 scale. It is not a standalone model, but an accessory that makes it possible to build the model with the front doors open and the inside of the nose revealed. The parts are crisply cast in resin.
The UH-1D Huey helicopter had a hinged compartment in the forward part of the fuselage, used for stowing luggage and part of the equipment and instruments. An open nose is a rewarding detail that reveals an informed build on the model and enlivens the static silhouette of the machine.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and bond with super glue. Sand with respiratory protection. Finish the inside of the compartment before closing the fuselage. Fine washes and scuffs bring out the edges and the places where the doors take the strain.
The set is an accessory, not a standalone model. The helicopter kit itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
