A 3D-printed resin set of landing gear and wheels for the American attack aircraft A-10 Thunderbolt II in 1:48 scale from the Ukrainian brand Reskit. The set replaces the plastic landing gear legs and wheels in the kit from Great Wall Hobby with more finely detailed parts and contains components for the early as well as the later form of the aircraft. It is the in-flight variant of the set, that is wheels without weighted flattening, suitable for a model shown in the air. It is not a standalone model but a detail accessory.
The landing gear and the wheels are among the places where plastic parts often lack the fine detail of the hubs, the brakes and the structure of the tires. Printed resin captures this detail more sharply and more faithfully. The choice of the early or the later form makes it possible to match exactly the particular A-10 you are building.
Wash the parts to remove the mold release agent, separate them from the supports and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Protect your airways when sanding. Paint the legs and the wheels separately before fitting and bring them out with a wash and fine dry-brushing.
An accessory for the advanced, not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
