AIM-9E Sidewinder (4 pcs) is a resin 3D-printed set of missiles from the manufacturer Reskit in 1:48 scale for the detailed building of American fighters.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of four 3D-printed resin infrared AIM-9E Sidewinder missiles in 1:48 scale. It is not a model of an aircraft, but an accessory of armament which on the pylons replaces the simplified plastic missiles with parts with a faithful shape of the seeker head, fine fins and clean relief detail.
The AIM-9E was an improved version of the Sidewinder missile for the US Air Force, derived from the AIM-9B type with a more sensitive seeker head. It was used during the Vietnam War and in the 1970s on machines such as the F-4 Phantom II, the F-100 Super Sabre, the F-105 Thunderchief or the F-5. The recognition feature is the more pointed cover of the seeker compared with the early variants.
Wash the parts clean of uncured printing resin, cut them from the printing supports and clean them up. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The body of the missile tends to be light, with colored stripes according to the role of the missile; we recommend an airbrush and fine masking of the stripes.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
