A resin set of replacement wheels for models of the later versions of the Harrier in 1:48 scale from the Reskit brand. It is not a kit but a detail accessory that replaces the wheels from the original kit with more faithful castings with finely worked tread and hubs.
Resin wheels have sharper detail than injection-molded parts and tend to be done with a flattened, weighted shape of the tire, which imitates the way a tire settles onto the ground. The result is more realistic landing gear with no need for complicated modifications.
First wash the parts to remove any remains of the mold release agent, cut the casting blocks off carefully and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. Paint the tires in a matte dark gray (not black), the hubs in a shade to match the subject, and bring them out with a fine removable wash.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
