This is not an aircraft kit but a 3D-printed resin detail accessory. The set holds an exhaust nozzle for the Canadair Sabre F.4 and North American F-86F-40 Sabre jet fighters and replaces the simplified part from the plastic kit in 1:48 scale. The advantage of printing is the depth and the faithful interior relief of the nozzle.
The North American F-86 Sabre and its Canadian license-built version, the Canadair Sabre, were among the most successful fighters of the early jet era. The open exhaust nozzle at the tail is a feature on show, and honest depth and fine detail tell there.
Wash the print resin residue off the part and separate it from the print supports. It is glued with cyanoacrylate; sand with respiratory protection. Paint the inside of the nozzle in metallic, heat-tinted shades and pick out the heat staining; a fine wash will bring out the ribbing.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
