This set is NOT an aircraft model but a detail accessory for a plastic kit of the Grumman F-14B/D Tomcat fighter in 1:48 scale. It replaces the original plastic nozzles with a faithful resin and 3D-printed replacement for the F110-GE-400 engines in the open position, as they look on a parked aircraft with cold engines. The set is meant for experienced modelers.
The F-14B and F-14D versions received the more powerful General Electric F110 engines with their characteristic nozzles, which differed in both shape and layout from the early F-14A with its TF30 engines. Accurately shaped inner and outer faces of the nozzles with fine detail raise the realism of the rear end of the model markedly, and that is where the eye goes most.
First wash the mold release residue off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and join them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Sand resin with respiratory protection. Check the fit on your particular kit before gluing.
This is an accessory to a kit, not a model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
