An injection-molded plastic kit of the heavy MAN KAT1 M1013 off-road truck with 8x8 all-wheel drive in 1:72 scale. Photo-etched parts for finer detail round out the package. The model is assembled and painted.
The MAN KAT1 was a family of high-mobility off-road trucks developed for the German army. The eight-wheeled versions with drive to all axles served as general-purpose carriers of cargo and of special bodies and excelled in their ability to move over difficult terrain.
Assemble the chassis and the suspension first and only then the body. Glue the photo-etched parts with super glue and the plastic joints with liquid plastic cement. Prime the surfaces and paint them with an airbrush; dust and mud effects made with washes and pigments will bring out the running surfaces and the wheel arches.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories beyond the contents of the package are not included, unless stated otherwise.
