A set of color three-dimensional decals for the cockpit of the American F-15A fighter in 1:48 scale. It is intended for the Hasegawa kit.

The real subject

The F-15A was the first production single-seat version of the F-15 Eagle fighter, that is of an aircraft built for air combat with great performance and a view from the cockpit in all directions. The cockpit of the early version is still full of round instruments; the screens came only with the later modifications. On the model it is clearly visible under the large transparent canopy, so detail inside is worth the effort.

What the set contains

Color interior elements with a raised relief, that is the instrument panel, the side panels and the other surfaces of the cockpit. The dials, the scales and the lettering are done in color, so you do not have to paint them in by hand. The exact extent of the sheet is given by the maker in the instructions.

Application tips

• The way they are applied differs from one range to another, so follow the instructions from the maker Kelik.
• Varnish the base first, let it dry thoroughly and degrease it; the elements hold only on a smooth, clean surface.
• Pick the elements up with tweezers, seat them dry and press them down with a soft tool so that they settle into the corners as well.
• As the cockpit is visible through the large canopy, pay attention also to the edges of the elements not standing away anywhere.

Who it is for

For a modeler who is building the early version of the Eagle and wants the cockpit finished quickly and without painting the small dials. This is an accessory to a kit, not the kit itself.
