This is NOT an aircraft kit but an add-on detail set. The package contains two 3D-printed resin HTY-5 ejection seats for the two-seat version of the Chinese J-10S fighter. The front and the rear seat differ in detail, so they faithfully replace the simplified parts from the box and raise the look of an open cockpit considerably.
The HTY-5 seats are modern Chinese ejection seats used in aircraft of the J-10 family. The fine 3D printing captures the texture of the padding, the harness, the ejection handles and the small mechanical features that are usually lost on injection-molded parts. The set is intended for models of the two-seat J-10S in the matching scale.
First separate the parts carefully from the print supports and wash off any residue so that the paint holds well. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Do any sanding and cleaning up with respiratory protection. A primer coat is recommended, then the color coats and bringing out the detail with a wash and a dry brush.
The detail set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
