The second variant of the interior fit of the army Beaver, designated L-20A and later U-6A. The colored print with relief covers the instrument panel and the area around the seats. It follows on from the Dora Wings kit.

This high-wing machine with fixed landing gear and a radial engine became famous for its short take-off run and its ability to carry a load from improvised strips. Military examples flew in Korea, in Vietnam and in Europe, in the liaison, ambulance and reconnaissance roles; many of them returned to civilian work in remote areas after being withdrawn. It is that working past that makes the model a rewarding subject, because every example looked a little different.
A modeler today has two routes to choose from. A cast replacement brings real volume, a new seat and shaped frames, but it asks more work, calls for cutting and sanding and often for reworking the fuselage too. A thin print is quicker, needs less work and brings no risk of poor fit into the build, though it remains a surface matter. The choice therefore depends on how much of the space will be visible in the end and how much time you want to give to fitting.
Finish the frame and the floor first, then comes the panel and finally the seats. Fit the clear parts only once everything has dried and avoid touching them, because fingerprints on a fresh layer are hard to remove.
Anyone building this type for the first time will appreciate that the whole space can be finished in a single evening. Preparing the surface takes the most time; laying the print down itself is quick. Keep the leftover scraps of the sheet, as they come in handy for a patch after a transfer that does not go well.
Check the color shade of the cockpit against a photograph beforehand, as it differed on military examples depending on the period.
