M-117R GP bombs with MAU-91 fin (1:48) is a resin 3D-printed set of six American aerial bombs of the M-117 type with the MAU-91 retarding tail unit from the maker Reskit. It is an armament accessory, not a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set contains six American general purpose aerial bombs of the M-117 type fitted with the MAU-91 retarding tail stabilizing unit, in 1:48 scale. The parts are printed from modeling resin and serve as external stores for builds of American combat aircraft of the Cold War and Vietnam War period. It is not an aircraft model but an armament accessory. Subjects such as the F-105, F-111, A-4, F-4, F-5, F-104, F-100, A-1 Skyraider, B-52 and Canberra are typical carriers of this bomb.
The M-117 was an American general purpose aerial bomb of the 750 pound class, widely used during the Vietnam War. The version with the retarding tail unit slowed the fall of the bomb and allowed a safe release from low altitude.
Wash the parts free of residual uncured resin, cut off the print supports and clean them up with respiratory protection. Glue the resin with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Apply a primer before painting; bombs are usually painted in olive and metallic shades with the appropriate color bands.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package unless stated otherwise.
