A decal sheet in 1:48 scale from L Decals Studio. It is not a kit or a model of an aircraft but a set of waterslide decals intended for finishing a plastic kit of the MiG-21 fighter in the MF and SM versions. The sheet offers markings for aircraft in Czechoslovak, Slovak, Polish and Soviet service, so you can choose from several national and color schemes. The kit itself has to be bought separately.
The decals cover national insignia, fuselage and tactical numbers and the typical stencils for the MiG-21MF and SM versions. Thanks to the presence of four users at once - Czechoslovakia, Slovakia, Poland and the Soviet Union - it is a rewarding accessory for enthusiasts of Cold War Eastern Bloc fighters who want to set a model apart from the markings in the box.
Apply the decals over a smooth gloss varnish so that no silvering appears. Cut the motif out, dip it in lukewarm water for a few seconds and slide it off the backing into place. A decal softener helps it settle, pulling the decal down to the surface and into the engraved lines. Once dry, coat it with a matte or gloss varnish according to the finish.
This is a stand-alone decal sheet. The kit, paints and varnish are not included in the package.
