The Aber photo-etched set 1:48 for the KV-I or KV-II (early, with wide fenders) — vol. 1, the basic set, is a group of brass parts for refining a model of the Soviet heavy tank. It is an accessory, not a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
A basic photo-etched set from the Polish manufacturer Aber in 1:48 scale intended for models of the early Soviet KV-1 or KV-2 heavy tanks with wide fenders. The set contains the main body of the additional detail and forms the base for the follow-up sets. It is not a tank kit but an added detail accessory for a build.
The KV family was the backbone of the Soviet heavy tanks at the beginning of the war on the Eastern Front. The KV-1 carried a 76 mm gun, while the KV-2 had a 152 mm howitzer in a massive slab-sided turret. The early versions were marked by wide fenders and a heavily armored hull that resisted the German anti-tank weapons of the time.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife or photo-etch scissors and make the bends on a bending tool. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate) or epoxy; degrease the brass before painting and spray it with a primer. Working with photo-etched parts suits more experienced modelers.
This is an accessory, not the model itself. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
