A detailed resin (3D-printed) set of the exhaust nozzle for the Swedish supersonic Saab J-35 Draken fighter in 1:48 scale from Reskit. It is not an airplane model but an accessory that replaces the plastic nozzle from the kit with a faithfully made resin part with a fine internal structure. The set is conceived for the Draken kits from Hasegawa and Eduard.
The exhaust nozzle of a jet engine is a finely divided part that plastic usually renders in a simplified way. The resin part brings crisp petals and realistic depth, so the rear of the model looks more convincing. The set is among the quick and effective improvements that call for a minimum of rework.
Separate the parts from their supports, wash them and degrease them; they are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Protect your airways when sanding. Paint the nozzle in burnt metal shades and bring the recesses out with a wash and a fine dry brush.
This is an accessory set, not an airplane model. It is supplied unpainted; the base kit, the glue and the paints are not included in the package.
