A pre-colored, 3D printed interior on a decal backing, intended specifically for the Bell UH-1 helicopter kit in the UH-1D Early / UH-1H Early versions in 1:48 scale from Kitty Hawk. The set covers the instrument panel, the side panels, the seats and the cabin features and takes the place of painting them.
The Bell UH-1 (nicknamed Huey) is an American utility helicopter that became a symbol of the war in Vietnam. The UH-1D version and the following UH-1H were stretched transport modifications with a larger cabin; the Early designation refers to the earlier service with the matching cabin equipment.
The individual parts - the instrument panel, the side panels, the seat, the levers and other details - are released from the backing in water like a conventional decal and seated on the plastic parts of the cockpit. Unlike a flat decal they have real 3D relief, so the interior looks deep and photo-realistic. We recommend unifying the base with gloss varnish, on which the element holds; do not use a decal softener or a setting solution, they attack the printed resin. Small three-dimensional elements can be fixed with cyanoacrylate if needed. Nothing has to be painted - the colors and the instrument labels are printed already.
This is not a helicopter model but a detail accessory for the cockpit. The Kitty Hawk kit itself, glue, paints and varnishes are not included in the package.
