This product is not a ship model, but a detail accessory set from Aoshima intended to raise the realism of kits of the Katori class light cruisers in 1:700 scale. The set combines self-adhesive sheets imitating laid wooden decks with photo-etched metal for the fine elements that injection-molded plastic cannot capture.

How to use the set

Trace the wooden deck out and seat it precisely on a cleaned surface, ideally once the hull has been painted. Separate the photo-etched parts on a hard backing with a sharp blade, bend them in a bending tool and glue them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The set lifts the final impression considerably, but it calls for fine work and patience.
