Flyhawk 1:700 WWII IJN Boat is a photo-etched brass accessory for refining the ship's boats of Japanese warships of the Second World War. It is not a ship model but a detail set.
Responsibility details are not available.
This photo-etch is an aftermarket accessory for modelers who want to lift the ship's boats on a kit of a Japanese warship of the Second World War. It is not a stand-alone model of a vessel but a set of fine photo-etched parts that replace the coarser plastic moldings and give the boats a look that is faithful to scale.
The set contains fine detail for the ship's boats, cutters and motor launches that the Imperial Japanese Navy carried on the decks of cruisers and battleships. The photo-etched parts capture the planked floor, the benches, the fittings and other elements that are hard to imitate in plastic at such a small scale.
Cut the parts carefully from the fret with a sharp knife on a hard surface, form the bends with a bender or flat pliers and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue), or with two-part epoxy. Before painting we recommend a light primer, which improves the adhesion of paint to brass.
This is an accessory for the advanced; the photo-etched parts, glue and paints are no substitute for a kit.
