Resin landing flaps for the Heller Douglas DC-6 in 1:72 scale. They let you build a model with the flaps in the working position.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin set of landing flaps in 1:72 scale for the four-engined piston airliner Douglas DC-6 from the Heller kit. With it you build the model with the flaps in the working position, as the aircraft looks on approach or parked on the ramp.
The DC-6 followed on from an older wartime design, received a pressurized cabin and four Pratt & Whitney Double Wasp radial engines. It flew long-haul routes from the second half of the 1940s, served far longer in military colors and could be met with fire-fighting units even in more recent times. The wing had large flaps, which in kits are almost always molded retracted. Extending them is therefore the most striking modification that can be made to this aircraft.
The original plastic flaps are cut out of the trailing edge, so mark the line of the cut in advance and work in small steps with a cutting disc or a saw. The replacements are set into the pocket that is created and glued with cyanoacrylate, but always dry-fit them first. The inside of the pocket and the upper surfaces of the flaps deserve a shade of their own, usually lighter than the surrounding skin.
The package consists of the cast flap parts only.
