Special Hobby 1:72 Focke-Wulf Fw 190D-9 main wheels is a resin set of weighted landing gear wheels as a replacement for the parts on Fw 190D-9 models in 1:72 scale. The wheels are meant for IBG kits.

This is not an aircraft kit but a resin detail set from the manufacturer Special Hobby. It holds cast main landing gear wheels with realistic flattening where they meet the ground (the weighted version), which replace the wheels from the plastic kit of the Focke-Wulf Fw 190D-9 fighter in 1:72 scale directly.
Cast wheels have a sharper tire tread pattern, finer hub detail and the suggestion of a tire settling under the weight of the aircraft, which looks far truer on a standing model than a perfectly round plastic wheel. It improves the impression of a parked machine.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts and separate them from the casting blocks. For painting it is practical to mask the hubs, or to spray the tire and the hub separately and glue them together at the end. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate). When building, set the flattened face square down toward the ground.
This is an accessory, supplied as resin parts, unassembled and unpainted. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
