An injection-molded short-run kit of the three-engine high-wing monoplane Fokker F.VIIb/3m in the version with markings for Japanese and Italian operators, in 1:72 scale from the Czech manufacturer Valom. The kit usually comes with resin and photo-etched parts and is intended rather for more experienced modelers. The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted; the exact contents of the package are given in the enclosed instructions.
The Fokker F.VIIb/3m was a three-engine high-wing airliner of the 1920s with a thick all-wooden wing and three radial engines. Thanks to its reliability and range it was built under license as well and flew all over the world, among others with airlines and armed forces in Japan and Italy. It also became famous for long-distance and record flights and grew into one of the iconic airliners of its era.
With a short-run kit, expect to clean up the flash and to dry-fit the parts; the joints of the fuselage and the wing may want a little filling. Glue the resin and photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue. The extensive cockpit glazing is best masked and painted separately. Spray the large areas over a primer with an airbrush and pick out the panel lines with a discreet wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
