NGA-09 Acrysion Gundam Assemble Color - Green Matt (Base Color), Gunze

A matte acrylic paint from the Acrysion Gundam Assemble Color line by Gunze (GSI Creos, Mr.Hobby) in a 10 ml bottle. The green shade is deeper than a light green and serves as an opaque base color: it holds well on plastic, does not etch it and is prepared above all for a brush; once thinned with the Acrysion system it can also be sprayed with an airbrush.

The green shades of the robots

Green is typical of the military mechs of the Gundam world, for example the machines of the Zaku line. This deeper green tone lends itself to details and to deepening the shadows, while the lighter NGA-08 Light Green will serve for the main, lighter areas. The two shades are often combined on a single robot, so it is practical to have them side by side and not to mix them up.

Use

• Applied with a brush straight from the bottle; if the paint is too thick, a slight thinning is enough.
• For an airbrush, thin it solely with the thinner of the Acrysion system.
• The matte surface takes further coats, panel lining and a matte varnish well.
• It mixes with the other paints of the Acrysion line.

An important note about the chemistry

Acrysion is an acrylic with its own thinner. It does not tolerate lacquer thinner or the thinner of the Aqueous line; another thinner will damage the paint. Thin and clean solely with Acrysion products.
