The HA-1112-M1L Buchón is the Spanish offshoot of the German Messerschmitt Bf 109, built by Hispano Aviación. The Spanish had no original German engines available, and so in the end they installed the British Rolls-Royce Merlin V12 in the airframe. The aircraft thereby gained an unmistakable nose with a different shape of engine cowling and radiators, and a four-blade propeller became a recognition feature as well. The Buchón flew with the Spanish Air Force long after the Second World War; its shape is known today also because these machines stood in for German fighters in films, when no others could be found.

Separate the parts from the sprues with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the rest of the gate down. Try the fuselage and wing joints dry before gluing, because on a model in this scale every half that does not seat shows in the shape of the nose. Fit the canopy only once the interior is painted and cover it with a mask before spraying. Spray the camouflage scheme from the lighter shade toward the darker one.
For the modeler who enjoys side branches of a well-known development line and wants a fighter with a familiar airframe and a foreign engine in the display case. Paints, glue and putty are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
