The Handley Page Hampden TB.Mk.I plastic kit in 1:72 scale from the Czech manufacturer Valom — the torpedo-carrying version of the British Hampden bomber.
Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the twin-engine Handley Page Hampden in the TB.Mk.I version in 1:72 scale from the Czech manufacturer Valom. The short-run model combines injection-molded plastic parts with resin and photo-etched pieces that make the torpedo-carrying variant possible, and it holds decals for two markings.
The Handley Page Hampden TB.Mk.I was the torpedo-carrying conversion of the Hampden bomber, with the bomb bay adapted to carry a torpedo. It served with Coastal Command against shipping targets, and some of the machines were deployed in the north of Europe as well. The engines remained the radial Bristol Pegasus.
With a short-run model, expect careful cleaning up and some adjusting of the fit of the parts. Finish the interior and the open bomb bay with the torpedo before closing the fuselage. Wash the resin parts to remove the mold release agent, and glue the resin and photo-etched pieces with cyanoacrylate glue. An airbrush suits the maritime camouflage.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
