A marking set from the British brand Xtradecal intended for models of the Sea Fury carrier fighter-bomber in its FB.11 version. In the package you will find a printed sheet with which you supplement or replace the markings supplied with your plastic model. The version of the subject and the scale are given by the name; the particular artwork is on the sheet itself.
The Sea Fury was the last series-built piston fighter of the Royal Navy and at the same time one of the fastest aircraft in its class ever. It came from the Hawker design line that followed on from the Tempest, but it was lightened and adapted for operation from a deck: folding wings, an arrestor hook and strengthened landing gear. Power came from a massive Bristol Centaurus radial engine with a five-blade propeller. The designation FB.11 belonged to the single-seat fighter-bomber variant, able to carry bombs and unguided rockets. In this form the aircraft was used in action by the Fleet Air Arm over Korea, where it served alongside the first jet types. Machines of this type later flew with a number of foreign users, and after retirement they became sought-after racing aircraft.
Polish the base and coat it with gloss varnish; on a matte surface a whitish haze appears under the carrier film. Cut the markings off one by one, soak them in warm water only until they release and transfer them onto a dampened spot, so that they can still be moved. Blot the excess water with paper from the center toward the edges.
