Responsibility details are not available.
The M-ATV is an American wheeled armored vehicle of the MRAP family, that is of machines built mainly against mines and improvised devices. It differs from the heavier vehicles of the same family in that it was designed as an off-road machine from the start: it has a shorter wheelbase, great wheel travel and independent suspension, so that it can get off hard-surfaced roads and into the mountains. The crew is protected by the shaped lower part of the hull, which deflects the blast to the sides, and by resistant glazing.
The M153 CROWS station is remote controlled: the gunner operates it from inside the vehicle through a screen and a controller, so he does not have to go out into a turret. Besides the weapon it carries a camera head, thanks to which the surroundings can be observed at night as well and aim can be taken from cover. The wheels with off-road tires of the size 16.00 R20 have a deep tread and a tall sidewall; it is exactly the tires that are noticeable at first glance on this vehicle, so it pays to give them time on a model.
Rid the parts of surplus material and of the marks of production, sand the mating surfaces and try the assembly dry before you reach for the glue. Choose the glue according to the material of the parts and according to the manufacturer's instructions. Glue the wheels on so that all four stand on a surface, and if you are going to suggest a flattening of the tire, aim it at the ground. Wash and degrease the surface before painting.
It will be appreciated by modelers of contemporary American machines and by collectors of small scales, where a finished piece takes up little room in a display case. Paints, thinner, glue and tools are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
