An injection-molded plastic kit of the American supersonic McDonnell F-101 Voodoo in 1:72 scale from the Czech maker Valom. The European mission edition offers markings for machines deployed in Europe. According to the instructions the set allows the fighter F-101A as well as the reconnaissance RF-101C version to be built, and it usually comes with further parts and decals.
The McDonnell F-101 Voodoo was an American twin-engine supersonic aircraft of the Cold War period. The F-101A version served as a fighter and strike machine, while the RF-101C was an unarmed tactical reconnaissance variant with cameras in the nose. The Voodoo stood out for its high speed and range and was deployed with units in Europe as well.
Glue the plastic parts with thin modeling cement and sand the fuselage joints carefully. Spray the areas with a gloss varnish before the decals go on, so that they do not silver, and even the surface out at the end with a matte or semi-gloss varnish. Metal areas in silver and natural metal shades are brought out by a metallic paint applied over a smooth base.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
