MK 103 – German 30 mm aircraft cannon 1:72 is a set of turned metal barrels from Master for models that carried this weapon. It is not a model but an accessory that sharpens a kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from the Polish firm Master contains precisely turned metal barrels of the German MK 103 30 mm aircraft cannon in 1:72 scale. It usually includes two barrels with resin muzzle brakes. It is not an aircraft model but an accessory with which you replace the coarser plastic barrel on a kit bought separately.
The MK 103 was a powerful German 30 mm automatic cannon of the Second World War. It was used on a number of machines – among others on the Dornier Do 335 and on the Henschel Hs 129 ground-attack aircraft. The massive barrel of such a cannon is a prominent feature on a model, and turned metal renders it more faithfully than plastic.
Cut off the plastic barrel, drill a hole in the remaining part and glue the metal barrel in with super glue (cyanoacrylate). The metal part holds an exact shape and takes sanding, polishing and painting in metallic shades.
This is an accessory, not a complete kit. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
