Deformer Egg Girls 01 Rei Hazumi with the T-4 Blue Impulse is a stylized plastic kit of a foreshortened aircraft with a figure from the Japanese company Hasegawa. It has no stated scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A kit from Hasegawa's stylized range, in which the aircraft are deliberately foreshortened into an egg shape with a large front end and a short fuselage. The package combines a T-4 treated in this way, in the finish of the Blue Impulse aerobatic team, with a figure of the character Rei Hazumi from the Egg Girls range. That is exactly why the model has no stated scale: it is a free stylization, not a reduction in an exact ratio. The number of parts, the contents of the decals and the execution of the figure are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The Kawasaki T-4 is a Japanese two-seat jet trainer with two engines, a high-mounted wing and a good view from both seats. Besides training it also serves as a liaison and escort machine. In the Blue Impulse finish it is used by the Japanese aerobatic team, whose blue and white scheme with prominent areas on the fuselage and wings is one of the best known aircraft liveries in Japan.
Stylized models build quickly, but it is the cleanliness of the color transitions that decides the result. Spray the blue and white scheme from the bottom up: white first, then mask it once it has dried and add the blue. Press the masking tape down along the edge with a fingernail so that the paint does not creep under it, and peel it off before the finish has cured completely. The parting lines on the short fuselage are clearly visible, so it pays to fill and sand them. Lay the decals onto gloss clear; a softener helps. Paint the figure separately and attach it to the model only at the end.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
