Firma49 wheels for Soviet military vehicles, ZiK-1 (1:72), is a resin set of replacement wheels with the period ZiK-1 tire tread for completing and sharpening up models of Soviet vehicles.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a resin add-on set, not a model in its own right. It contains cast replacement wheels with the characteristic tread of period Soviet ZiK-1 tires in 1:72 scale. The wheels replace the plastic parts from the base kit and bring sharper detail to both the tread and the sidewall.
Cast wheels tend to be more faithful than plastic parts out of a mold and make it easy to add a realistic bulge and load. They suit Soviet military vehicles of the matching type, which were fitted with tires of this size.
First wash the mold release agent residue off the parts, cut the casting blocks off carefully and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Spraying the surface with a primer before filler and paint is recommended.
This is an accessory, not a complete model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
