This is a photo-etched parts set from Eduard, in 1:48 scale, designed to refine the exterior surface of a plastic model of the CH-53E Super Stallion heavy helicopter. It is not a helicopter model, but an accessory that is glued onto a finished kit. It typically adds intake and exhaust grilles, covers, vent panels, eyelets, handles, footsteps and other small elements that are often only suggested in plastic or missing entirely.
The CH-53E Super Stallion is an American three-engine heavy transport helicopter, one of the most powerful of its kind in the Western world. It serves mainly with the Marine Corps to transport equipment and cargo, including external sling loads. It is distinguished by a seven-blade main rotor and a large rear fuselage with a loading ramp.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife on a hard surface, form the bends against a straightedge or a bending tool, and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue or a special etch adhesive. Degrease the surface before gluing. The set is better suited to a modeler who already has experience with photo-etch.
This is an accessory etch set, not a kit. The helicopter model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
