A lemon green with high luminosity. For sports paintwork, warning areas and accessories.
Responsibility details are not available.
This shade stands right next to yellow and is the most luminous of the whole green palette. It has nothing to do with camouflage; its place is on sports motorcycles, racing cars, safety vests, warning elements on machinery and everything meant to be seen from a distance. On a model it also works as a small accent that breaks up an otherwise subdued color scheme.
Highly luminous tones cover worse than dark ones and lose their strength on gray plastic. Without a light base they look muddy. The proven procedure is a white base, over it a thin coat of yellow if needed, and only then the green itself, which thereby gains its full intensity without a needlessly heavy coat.
It is thinned with water, it does not smell of solvents and the tools are cleaned immediately after use. For an even luminous surface, more weak passes are better than one generous one. Always stir the paint so that the settled pigment goes back into the whole volume.
At the top, in a frame, is the serial number of the shade, below it the name of the paint. The left side states the gloss, the right the recommended use. Shades tied to military hardware are completed by the country and the period, and general colors do not have that part.
A luminous green gains the most next to a black or anthracite area, because the contrast raises its brightness further. On racing schemes it therefore often appears in narrow bands and wedges rather than as the color of the whole body. A smaller area paradoxically reads as more vivid than full coverage of the model.
