A flesh shade from the Mr.Color range intended above all for painting figures and characters. The designation in the name sets the individual variants of skin apart within the range, and the note about the semi-gloss finish describes the resulting surface: it is neither wholly matte nor glossy, so on the face and on the hands it creates a slight sheen but does not bring out every surface flaw.
The paint is applied with a brush as well as with an airbrush. Use the thinner intended for this range and the thinning ratio according to the manufacturer's instructions on the packaging. Before painting, wash the surface of the model and degrease it so that the paint holds. Work in several thin coats rather than in one thick one; a thin coat preserves the fine relief of the figure and dries better. Mix the contents of the bottle thoroughly before use, the pigment settles at the bottom.
On an area of skin it has proved best to apply an even base coat first and only then to shade: darken the hollows and the folds with a heavily thinned darker shade, and lighten the raised places slightly instead. A semi-gloss surface takes further coats and glazes well, so shading can be built up on it gradually. The result can be unified with a final varnish according to the look you want.
For builders of figures and characters who need to add a flesh shade to the palette, whether the subject is military, civilian or fantasy. Thinner, a brush and other modeling supplies are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
